“Day One – They ‘found’ Him guilty; they sentenced Him to die.

Day Two – The disciples hid; the followers of Christ feared for their lives!

“What are the benefits of the Resurrection?

Benefit Number One: Comfort. After the crucifixion, all hope had been taken from the followers of Christ. Some hid, others fled. ALL had lost the comfort that Christ had brought them. The resurrection changed all of that! Jesus was alive – His presence could be known and felt anew! And today, Jesus is here – right now. Do not be afraid to call upon His Wonderful Name. He knows what you are going through – He knows what you need. Call upon Him!

Benefit Number Two: Confrontation. Jesus Christ came not only to comfort, but to confront man with their lost condition. The only way that you can have a relationship with Almighty God is to put your faith in what Christ accomplished for you on the Cross of Calvary – You must put your faith in Jesus! He didn’t go to all of the trouble of being crucified and rising up from the dead so you can say, ‘You know, Jesus was a good person’. No, He died and rose again so you would be confronted with the fact that He is God’s Son, and He is your only hope!

Benefit number Three: Change. Jesus Christ rose from the grave so that once you have placed your faith in Him, you could become a different person – a new creature in Christ! He had the power to rise from the dead; He has the power to change your life completely! God has amazing things in store for each of our lives. Phil. 2:10 says, ‘That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,’. There is power in the Resurrection of Christ, and that same power is available to us each and every day.”
