The Road to Ninevah

About two weeks ago, Brad (http://bradbeaman.wordpress.com/) sent me the lyrics to the poem/ song written below. Our goal was to come up with a tune to put the poem to. Over the next few days, I read over the lyrics occasionally, sometimes humming a tune that might transform them into song; In the end, the lyrics actually inspired a song I was able to record quickly last night. I hope it speaks to you as it has spoken to me! Thanks again for the great lyrics, Brad.

Listen to The Road to Ninevah

You Oh Lord did hear my voice.
Salvation is from the Lord I will rejoice.

In Running from God my life’s a mess.
I called to you in my distress.

You Oh Lord did hear my voice.
Salvation is from the Lord I will rejoice.

I cried to you from the depths of the sea
The weeds and the water encompassed me.

You Oh Lord did hear my voice.
Salvation is from the Lord I will rejoice.

You brought my life up from the pit.
My prayer arose and to you I commit.

You Oh Lord did hear my voice.
Salvation is from the Lord I will rejoice.

  1. This song was a huge blessing to me. You have a beautiful voice. Sounds like what i could imagine an angels voice to be like.

  2. Thanks for your post. His grace truly is wonderful. Looks like we have the same layout (I personally, think it’s the best design). Have a great day!

  3. Simple and beautiful…simply beautiful! :-) It really blessed me today to read this! Thanks.
